Detroit is taking over SXSW this year! So many of my favorite artists and friends will be down in Austin, Texas performing during SXSW’s music festival. If you’re not familiar with SXSW it is one of the nation’s largest music festivals. If you are going to SXSW and you’re not familiar with some of Detroit’s hottest artists then you must attend this line up:

The Revival: SXSW will highlight a wide spectrum of regions and styles through out the women in Hip-Hop movement, and is headlined by veteran Philadelphia emcee Bahamadia making her SXSW premiere. Other performers featured include Tiye Phoenix, Chicago’s own Psalm One, Toronto emcee Eternia, as well as Diamond, best known for her work with Crime Mob. The event will be filmed for a follow-up short documentary in EMERGENCE’s The Revival series, which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the growing Women in Hip-Hop movement.
